Share your best practices on urban planning solutions
The release date：2019-07-23 11:48:44
We are surveying best practices from different regions of the world on urban planning and management. The best experiences will be compiled in two publications under the UNOSSC Programme on Climate Change and Sustainability. Both publications will be launched at the 25th session of the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP 25) at Santiago in December 2019.
Selected solutions will also be featured on the South-South Galaxy – a global knowledge sharing and partnership brokering platform for South-South and Triangular Cooperation.
Please see details and link to the survey below:
South-South and Triangular Cooperation on Urban Planning and Management and its Impacts in Addressing Climate Change and Fostering Sustainable Development
This survey aims to collect information on how cities in different regions around the world are designing and implementing policies and programmes on urban planning and management that could lead to lower greenhouse gas emissions and to build climate resilient governance, as well as to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development.
The best experiences will be compiled in a publication aimed at enhancing international/South-South and triangular cooperation and partnerships and connections between local authorities and scientists to promote emerging sustainable development solutions from the global South. It also aims to bridge the gap between policy and science. Lessons from these cities will provide in-depth analysis and insight on how their experiences could be scaled up, replicated and adopted by other cities and countries.
